FOREIGN PRODUCTIONS INSURANCE

Foreign Production Insurance provides the full spectrum of insurance coverages at competitive premiums for worldwide productions of any budget, up to 12 months in duration. Single Production and multiple production (annual policies) are available. This can include Feature Films, Short Films, TV Shows, Documentaries, Music Videos, and much more.

Available for U.S. based production companies shooting outside the US.

Eligible Productions:

To be eligible for Foreign Production Package, the production must:

  1. Shoot outside the US. (Worldwide)

  2. Not have stunts, pyrotechnics or underwater activities.

Program enhancements:

Stunts, animals, and precision driving scenes are now available as a buyback option. Learn more about the types of scenes and movie stunts that can be scheduled. Multiple scenes can be declared to a single production.

Cast insurance for your key cast or crew members. Coverage options include blanket coverage with sickness (no medicals required), blanket coverage without sickness, and family bereavement. Cast limits available are 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% of Gross Production Cost.

Available Coverages:

Property (also known as Inland Marine) such as:

  • Owned or rented camera and/or other production equipment, props, sets, wardrobe, picture cars

  • third party property damage (often referred to as location insurance)

  • Extra expense

  • Negative Film, Videotape and Digitalized Image along with Faulty Stock, Camera & Processing

  • Rented Jewelry, furs

  • Worldwide Option for 12 month policies

  • And much more, on an as needed basis

 

Commercial General Liability:

Locations, municipalities, shooting permits all require that commercial general liability coverage is in place. Minimum required limit is $1M. Higher limits are available to satisfy any location requirement.

Hired and Non-Owned Automobile:

Auto liability & auto physical damage for your rented vehicles, broadcast trucks, etc.

Workers Compensation:

Protecting your cast & crew against medical injuries while filming. SAG (Screen Actors Guild) require that coverage is in place before signing contracts.
